Life at the Compassion Home
Decha and his wife Pat have faithfully served as administrators at the Compassion Home since it was started in 2002. They have two children of their own but felt
God calling them to help care for the many needy children of Norther Thailand.
The children get an early start to the day with a 5:30 rising time. After getting dressed for school everyone meets together in the chapel for Bible reading and prayer. At 7:00 the children climb into a covered truck and head off to school where they spend the day studying. The sound of children’s voices and laughter returns when the children get back from school around 4:00 in the afternoon. Everyone has some chores to do when they get home. Some days it is feeding the chickens or chopping banana plants for the pigs. Other days it might be hoeing in the garden or making brooms out of palm fronds. The best part of the day is the free time after chores are done! There is lots of laughter as the children play games, play music and enjoy the daily game of football (soccer). A good meal of rice, evening devotions and homework wraps up the day.

How we are funded?
The Compassion Home is funded by people like you who believe that the work of the Compassion Home will make an eternal impact on the lives of these children. The Compassion Home has set up a sponsorship program where a monthly payment can be made to cover the costs of a child's schooling and room and board. All of the children at the Compassion Home come from difficult backgrounds. Some are orphaned and others come from families stricken with poverty. Many of them would not be able to attend school if people like you would not step in and help.
Each year some of our students graduate from high school and new children come to take their place. Each year we need new sponsors who are willing financially and prayerfully walk a child through school . Consider sponsoring one of our children and giving them an opportunity to get a good education and most importantly, for them to have the opportunity to hear about and experience the love of Jesus.
Every child, a unique creation; every child, a precious soul in the eyes of God!

Sponsor a Child
The Compassion Home operates through the generous donations of people who want to bless the children of Thailand. The sponsorship for one child is $75 per month. This money helps to cover the cost of schooling, room and board and general operating costs of the Compassion Home. Each child has a unique background and unique needs. Some children have parents that are able to help cover a small portion of their child's expenses while others have nothing. We have decided to make the sponsorship a rounded $75 per child rather than trying to adjust the sponsorship amount for each child. We encourage sponsors to sponsor a child through high school although that is not required. Please do consider joining in the work of the Compassion Home by sponsoring one of our children.
