Community:

We all long to be a part of something that is bigger than any one person; to belong, regardless of who we are. We need to surround ourselves with people who will push us to reach our God-given potential.

“A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.” John 13:34-35 (ESV)

Accountability:

We are fooling ourselves if we believe we don’t make mistakes. We need to live with enough humility to take ownership of our shortcomings and allow others to speak truth about what they see in our life.

“Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working.” James 5:16a (ESV)

“Take care, brothers, lest there be in any of you an evil, unbelieving heart, leading you to fall away from the living God. But exhort one another every day, as long as it is called “today,” that none of you may be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin.” Hebrews 3:12-13 (ESV)

Identity:

“Your vision for life will only ever be as big as your view of God.”

The way we live is determined by what we believe in our hearts about God and ourselves. There are voices all around us constantly telling us who we should be. What God says about us, despite where we’ve been, will change our lives forever.

“And he said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.” Matthew 22:37 (ESV)

Vision:

God never intended for us to be a reservoir of his love. As believers, we are given the mandate to allow his love to flow through us and into the lives of others.

“You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” Matthew 22:38b (ESV)
